For the IT Director it is hard to keep up with as there are always innovations with Software packages all competiting for the arena of being best. However it becomes the ability of using all these to the best that suites an organization.

Large organizations have great trouble keeping up with the fashions. Smaller companies are able to be flexible and can have lower overheads in providing solutions for larger companies. They can also provide expertise which a larger company might want.
